UK's largest independent retailer GAME announced the decision of its own sales. It is reported by Bloomberg , citing the publication of The Sunday Times.
According to The Sunday Times, The Game Group plc began looking for a new owner.To do this, the company turned to consulting services Swiss bank Banque Privee Edmond de Rothschild. According to management forecasts, sales will help the company to overcome the financial crisis that emerged in the course of 2011 and intensified in February 2012.
The Sunday Times also said that the GAME is obliged to pay all the debts of tenants in the area over the next two weeks, from 12 to 26 March 2012. In case of late payment owners will be able to request to vacate the shop area, which will lead to the dismissal of workers.
GAME retail chain announced that it will not sell in their stores most of the games publisher Electronic Arts, Capcom and Ubisoft in February 2012. The company said it was caused by the inability to comply with the conditions of arrangement put forward by the publishers. GAME also failed to make the stores a copy of Mass Effect 3 , in consequence of which suffered a loss of $ 3.2 million.
The first store of the chain GAME was opened in 1991. According to April 2010, the company has 1,367 outlets worldwide. The total market value GAME at the moment is $ 23 million.
