GDC '12: Havok physics engine has confirmed the development of a new generation

Destructoid journalist were shown two demonstrations. The first concerned a realistic display of fabrics and clothing for the characters. The second was devoted to the general animation of various characters' actions, which, thanks to the opportunities Havok, processed by algorithms in real time, rather than simulated manually animators.

On the question of alleged platforms for engine company employee said: "Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have always been our loyal partners in the past and is guaranteed to remain so in the future." Date of commencement of operation of the new technology was not disclosed to the developers.
Havok Physics - one of the most popular technologies that simulate different physical laws in video games. Fizicheskyi engine supports most modern home and mobile platforms. The first version of the development kit (SDK) was released in 2000, and the last is dated September 2011. In addition to Havok Physics, the company offers developers and other technologies: animation system Havok Animation, artificial intelligence programming language Havok Script and Havok AI, and others. At the moment, the technology company Havok have been involved in over 500 games from different companies.
