Studio Day 1 Studios has begun work on a tactical third-person shooter. The new project from the creators of MechAssault will be re-dedicated to the theme of confrontation, combat vehicles and will be called Reign of Thunder. Announcement of the game took place on the official website of the studio.
Reign of Thunder will be distributed on a shareware (Free2Play) model. The list of available platforms is not currently announced, but it is assumed that the primary will be the PC.
"It's great to be back in the mech-genre and the communities in which we played games and did two decades - said executive producer studio TJ Wagner (TJ Wagner). - Make a game that combines elements of role-playing games early MechWarrior, rapid arcade action and the shareware model - it's a great opportunity to be part of this community. Studio Day 1 hinted at developing a new game February 17, 2012, when released nameless rolik- "teaser" with the staff walking robot. 2012 planned out two more games in the universe MechWarrior. The second project codenamed MechWarrior Tactics should be declassified today, February 21, 2012. Presumably, this is a browser online game for the PC.
